Speech Sound Disorders
Speech sound disorders are often referred to as articulation disorders and/or phonological disorders. They occur when a child has difficulty saying specific sounds or are using the incorrect rules to pick the sounds that go with words.
Language
Language disorders can impact a child's ability to understand words and sentences, a child's ability to use the words, sentences, or correct grammar, or both of those things.
